PAINTING AT THE WINERY

PAINTING AT WILLS CREEK WINERY - Alabama has a treasure near Gadsden - WillsCreekVineyards.com. Owners Jahn and Janie hosted the Southeastern Plein Air Festival (sponsored by the Gadsden Museum of Art) Tuesday. About 25 painters enjoyed the acres of vineyards, donkeys, mountains, and ponds. I was SO exicited to be there painting plein air (outdoors on location). It was so inspiring that I finished 3 paintings. I think everyone turned out a great painting that day.

I hate to bother you with a technical difficulty but I am not receiving your updates in my Blogger Dashboard Reading List. I originally joined your followers list months ago, I just tried to cancel and rejoin, thinking their must have been a glitch between our computers. I see you have a lot more followers. I wonder if any others have this problem, if not, then I guess it's not a setting on your side. I can't figure out why it updates everyone else's for me.
This plein air event looked fun.
Do you know about the Forgotten Coast Plein Air paint-out next week near Port St. Joe, FL.?

Painting Your Vision Workshop No matter what level is current in your oil painting, its time to step up to the next level. This workshop is designed to add interest in texture and design, emphasize brushwork and edges, and explore new additions to paint techniques. We do this by using traditional methods of direct or alla prima painting, which simply means all we can accomplish in a session using rich paint to make sophisticated edges.
