This is one scene that could be painted in several different ways. I used thick paint and moved it and adjusted the juicy strokes all through the process. Like icing a cake!

It started this way. Using the "fat over lean" thought, I painted rich thick paint over an old underpainting.

Love it, Robin! The shapes and lines of the fence and the cast shadows make such a striking painting.
