I do work in series - they're just spaced far apart! I've had this composition in my head since last fall. And it's the third or fourth one in this series. I used several photos to group these cowboys. No preliminary sketch - just drawing on the canvas. The scene is a cattle drive north of Taos where - cattle were brought down from summer in the mountains to the lower pastures - a two day job. These cowboys were taking a rest as the cattle went straight for the stock pond. I'll show you the photo and finished version soon.....
