The common practice of gallery artists is to paint in a "series". It's good to have a collection with a similar theme of subject or color. This oil painting came from my files, and just jumped to the top of my list to paint. The combination of composition, nature subject, light pattern, and the challenge of how to apply that paint became important today. Tomorrow I'll show you the next painting I've done, and we can call them a series.
This painting is fabulous. I love your drastic lighting, the stark contrast between the prickly grass? and the smooth eggs. Your variety of texture and mark makes that even better.
