Stubborn

Lately I've been aware of artists speaking of a difficulty with a painting or a phase of  a career- something that causes a pause in the fluid nature of painting that we would like to have all the time.     In this case, even the start of this painting  had a "tight" quality.   I think it still does, even though I have improved several aspects.   Perhaps I should take the advice of some of my teachers who would take a big fat brush and let it fly.     Would you?
