Excited about my exhibit in Guntersville Al at Mountain Valley Arts Council!.....Lets visit on Thursday, June 13th at 6. It's a great time and it's wonderful around Lake Guntersville in June. Also - workshops are in the planning too- check with me soon....

Oil Paintings, Serene and Southern! Robin finds the effects of light captivating, whether it’s the light of shadow on an apple, a building, or the face of a pet. Light is the central factor of life, like the life giving force from above.

Originally from north Alabama, Robin’s family lived in Iowa twice, Texas twice, Missouri, Arkansas and Louisiana. That southern orientation emerges in the oil paintings. Now Alabama again presents wonders begging to be brought to life.

Robin’s collectors find her art at Dragonfly Gallery in Fayetteville TN; Kathleen’s Gallery in Decatur; Renaissance Gallery in Northport Alabama; and Thoroughbred Gallery in Lexington Ky.

Robin will be on exhibit at MVAC from June 4th through July24th. The Opening Reception will be June 13th beginning at 6:00 pm, sponsored by the Wyeth Circle Art Group.

Schedule a Workshop for your group

Painting Your Vision Workshop No matter what level is current in your oil painting, its time to step up to the next level. This workshop is designed to add interest in texture and design, emphasize brushwork and edges, and explore new additions to paint techniques. We do this by using traditional methods of direct or alla prima painting, which simply means all we can accomplish in a session using rich paint to make sophisticated edges. We will explore different surfaces that affect the look of an oil painting. And we will use a simple color mixing exercise to give confidence in value and mixing the color you need. Bring your references or use my photos. Demonstrations will give suggestions to add something new to your oil paintings and painting time to bring it all together.
