CHILLAXIN'

demo painting (finished) from our recent workshop at Renaissance Gallery in Northport Al.  I had a great time with professional artists and even a young student.   there's never enough time to paint, though!
I took the advice of a teacher and concentrated on getting the major object  (the figure)as correct as possible first - that's the slow part that's boring to viewers.   The workshoppers wanted the chair added at an early stage, since the figure appeared to be floating.  It didn't concern me as long as he was in the best area of the rectangle.    The chair and the bottle were the last things painted - so easy it would have been cheating to add them earlier!
