TOP OF THE MORNING

"Top of the Morning" is the seventh painting this year.  Fewer things scheduled means more painting time in January - and I'm loving it.  Tidying up the studio allows me to review big files of my photo references.   As you know, most of my paintings come from views to the side of the road as I drive to errands.   This was early one morning out in the county as I drove to check on Mother. Slow down, lower the window, and take the photo and drive on.......hoping on the county road there isn't much traffic since school has started.    Sun through the fog seems to give a promise of a bright new day, and a bright new year.

Top of the Morning, 16x20

It went together this way:

colors used:  quinacridone rose, cerulean hue, cad yello medium, burnt sienna, a little cad red light and a hardware store chip brush and a badger flat.

  2. Hi Robin
I know it is an exceptionally beautiful painting when I sit there for I don't know how long gazing at it. Thank you for allowing me to get lost in your painting.
