It's another gloomy day today, but this painting cheers me up. I was driving on a frosty morning early in the fall. One of those days where the steam was rising off hay and roofs, yet the air was chilly. The fog and steam along the road looked like coffee steam, and I was glad to have a warm cup of coffee in the car that morning. The day was bright and misty at the same time - I was looking for my sunglasses at 6:30 in the morning! The challenge of making oil paint look like fog was fun.
